Our little sweetie just gets cuter and cuter. She loves loves loves when you make silly faces and kiss her. She responds by giving you the most wonderful smile.

First Easter Basket

Sophia was a very patient little girl on Easter. She waited all day to get her first Easter basket. She finally got to open her basket when we got home from Nana and Pappy's.


In her first Easter basket Sophia received 2 books: "What is Easter?" and "God's Dream", bubbles, gummi bears and chocolate eggs. The candies just happened to be her mom and dad's favorites. Sophia kindly offered the candy to her parents. She is already so generous ;)

After lunch and Sophia's nap we had a little Sophia photo shoot. Sophia's Uncle David is a photographer so he got some great shots!

Sophia had a wonderful first Easter. We celebrated with all the grandparents and Sophia's Aunt Laura, Uncle Mark, and Uncle David. Sophia did great napping at her Nana and Pappy's and having a million pictures taken of her.

Here is my sweet girl in her Easter outfit. She loved sitting in the special rocking chair Nana and Pappy have for her. I can't believe how big she looks in this picture! She is growing so fast!

3 months!

My newborn is now officially an infant! I love all the new things she can do now that she is a baby and not a newborn but I miss my teeny tiny newborn too!



3 months has also marked the end of my maternity leave :( and less napping in the baby carrier for Sophia. Big changes for our little one. We've noticed more crying the last few days and can only imagine it is because of all these changes. Hopefully, we all adapt quickly so our little one can get back to her happy, snugly self.

On a happier note, Sophia is quite the chatterbox! She greets us each morning with lots of coos and babbles and is always chatting and babbling throughout the day! It is the sweetest sound. Sophia has learned so many new things over the last month it has been incredible to watch! She has mastered playing with rattles and her bouncy chair, rolled over a few times... the list goes on! I feel so blessed to be her mom and watch her learn and grow!

As you may have noticed we went with a dinosaur theme this month. Sophia's daddy set up the shots. Thanks for the awesome dinosaur onesie Emily, Drew and Asher and for the cute dinosaur blanket Emily P.

At 3 months Sophia:

• Wears size 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 month
  



• Weighs about 12lbs 11oz




• Sleeps anywhere from 10-12 hours a night only waking up 1x if at all




• Takes 3-4 naps a day starting this week in her crib
  



• is swaddled when she sleeps in her crib




• loves her playmat and bouncy seat




• has mastered grabbing on to toys and hitting the toys on her bouncy seat to make the music go
  



• has rolled over from front to back 5 times and once from back to front
  



• loves silly faces and noises
  



• loves when you tickle her face with a soft toy



• loves splashing in her bath tub and grabbing her duck toy between her feet
  



• can prop herself up on her elbows (with assistance) and hold her head 90 degrees when on her tummy

Last week I went back to work part-time and Sophia came with me! My boss was kind enough to offer to let me bring Sophia to work so we gave it a try! Sophia did great and was definitely very popular in the office :)

Yep...Sophia has now rolled over from front to back 2 times and once from back to front! I have a feeling before long she'll be rolling all over!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Sophia wanted to wish her Grandpa a Happy Birthday!

We helped Grandpa celebrate on Saturday with a yummy lunch made by Grandma. Sophia added something extra special to the cake by sneezing all over it. Amazing what babies can get away with :)

Hope you have a great day Gramps! If you want I'll come sneeze on your lunch today too!

In just a few short days Sophia learned how to play with the toys on her playmat! She no longer needs her mom and dad, she can hit and grab the rattles all on her own! Go Sophia!
